AHMVD IS LOOKING FOR LEVEL COORDINATORS
๐ AHMVD IS LOOKING FOR LEVEL COORDINATORS
The season is quickly approaching, and we are looking for Level Coordinators to help ensure a successful start to training camps, evaluations and the season.
This role is essential to the smooth operation of the evaluation process, the formation of balanced teams and the ongoing support of teams throughout the season.
We are looking for individuals who are organized, available, collaborative and impartial, and who are willing to contribute positively to the experience of all players and families.
Main Responsibilities
Level Coordinators will be asked to:
โ Ensure practices and scrimmages are properly organized
โ Communicate groups, teams and jersey colours in advance
โ Ensure there are enough evaluators available
โ Make best efforts to include evaluators who do not have a child playing at the level being evaluated
โ Ensure the right people are on the ice as coaches or session leaders
โ Ensure there are enough volunteers behind the benches to help scrimmages run smoothly
โ Participate in creating and adjusting groups throughout the camp
โ Keep Retroaction up to date so that schedules, groups and changes are communicated quickly and accurately
โ Participate in the process leading to final team formation, team balancing and coach selection
โ Help organize balancing games when required
โ Support coaches and team managers throughout the season
โ Be available to help teams and parents with questions or concerns
โ Act as a liaison between teams, parents and AHMVD, helping ensure communication flows properly and that concerns requiring further attention are directed to the appropriate people
โ When required, help facilitate communication between teams, the AHMVD Executive Committee and the league
Why 2-3 Coordinators Per Level?
Our goal is to have a team of three coordinators for each level in order to:
โข Share the workload
โข Encourage collaboration and different perspectives
โข Ensure continuity when someone is unavailable
โข Avoid having decisions depend on one individual
โข Maintain a fair, transparent and balanced process through proper checks and balances
The coordinators work together in the best interest of all players and the entire level.
The role does not end once teams are formed. Level Coordinators remain an important resource for coaches, managers, players and parents throughout the season.
