February 6th 2013 Income tax receipts
The income tax receipts for the 2012-2013 season will be sent to you by the HCR system in the last week of February 2013,
Your manager will ask you to confirm your email in the next few days .
If you haven't recieved your receipts by March 1st, please send me an email with your child's name.
Don't forget to check your spam folder beforehand !
As a reminder, the receipts can only be requested by one of the parents.

January 28th 2013 Great news for the region's hockey players !
The city of Notre-Dame de L'Île-Perrot has announced the constuction of the Alexandre Burrows sports complex
If everything goes as according to the plan laid out by M. Burrows group and the city of Notre-Dame-de-l'île-Perrot's authorities, the sports complex will welcome it's first skaters at the beginning of the 2014-2015 season.

November 5th 2012 Memo to coaches Dear coaches,
I would like to inform you that we have a new 'ENTRAINEUR' tab on the TROIS-LACS website for any information concerning training that is offered to you by hockey Lac St-Louis.
There are also documents and information concerning registered coaches and the names of coaches on the waiting lists.
If you are registered to a training session, you are expected to attend because there are charges related to registration. We can replace you if need be, but we need you to adivise us 48 hours prior at the latest.
October 31st 2012 Daylight savings Don't forget, this sunday, we Fall Back to Standard time, meaning that you will need to bring your clocks back an hour on sunday morning !! Also, the AHMVD encourages you to change the batteries in your fire detectors at home !

For those who were not able to come, please come to the next and final evening that will take place at the Hockey Association office located near Vaudreuil’s Ice.
Date: Monday, Oct-15th, between 7h00PM and 8h00PM.
Please bring with you a copy of two identification document between: Driver licenses, Medical Card, Passport.
October 9th 2012 "Sur le banc Home Depot" Clinic The Mustangs would like ton invite 2 teams this year to participate in a 30 minute power skating session with a few Mustang players and coaches. These power skating sessions will be held :

All season long, you will find results and standings for your favorite team, as well as mofifications to the schedule (Which will have been sent to you by your manager !)
October 6th 2012 Message to coaches - Background check Dear Volunteers, for the protection of our children, we must do a background check of any person who
is helping our Hockey Association of Vaudreuil-Dorion, Les Cèdres (AHMVD). This background check
must be done every three years by the Governor of the association.
I presently have a list of all the volunteers that already had their background check done by our former Governor in March-2001 and last year. With the help of our Head-Coaches, I completed a list of Assistant-coaches and managers for this year and I contacted most of you by e-mail. But, I am still
waiting for some teams to get back to me, and I was missing e-mails for some of you. This is why I am asking you to come and meet me at the association office Thursday, October 11th between 7h00PM and 8h30PM to fill the SQ document if it wasn’t done by Rouby the last two years. Please bring with you a copy of two identity documents: Driver License, Medical Health Card, Passport.
If you are not sure, please contact me by e-mail.
Note: The association office is located behind the meeting room near Vaudreuil’s ice.
September 27 2012 Defenceman clinics The position of defenceman is unfortunately not recognized as it should since their roles don't stand out as an important stat on a scoresheet. A game's hero is often the forward who has scored 3 goals, or the goalie that has made key saves...but think about players like Markov, Subban, Letang and Shae Weber's incredible contract... Teams need defencemen and they have a very important role in every single game!
To show our defencemen that their role is important, the AHMVD is innovating this season by offering to our young defencemen a clinic that is focused totally on them. Six sessions will be offered during the season by Nadeau/Leblanc on friday nights and will touch technical and tactical aspects of being a defenceman.
Unfortunately, due to basic technical habilities that are required and the limited amount of sessions, these clinics will only be offered to certain categories. Below you will find the list of defencemen that are invited to these clinics. In order to better coordinate things and to have a better coach to defenceman ratio, the clinics will be divided into 2 30 defencemen groups

August 22, 2012 Reminder - Single letter camp practice jersey's We would like to remind you that all players attending single letter camps need to have an AHMVD jersey. If your child does not have a jersey, you can purchase one at the camps for 15$.
If your child already owns an AHMVD jersey, you will not need to puchase a new one.
August 22, 2012 TO PARENTS OF ASPIRING GOALIES Your child would like to be a goalie, but you do not own any equipment? The AHMVD has goalie equipment that it can rent to association members for the whole season at a very resonable price.

August 17, 2012 Information - Single letter groups You will have noticed that there are groups on the single letter scedule for levels Atom to Bantam and that the the player is scheduled in relation to the group that he is in.
The groups will be built after this weekend's double letter open tryouts and will be displayed on the AHMVD's website early next week (Week of August 20th). As soon as the information becomes available, it will be posted on th AHMVD's Facebook page.

The preliminary schedule for the single letter camps are now published in the Schedules section of the website. Please note that letter divisions for the Atom to Midget levels will be added at a later time. Please recheck our website prior to the camp dates for an update.
Also note that for Midget level, the camp will begin on wednesday August 29th 2012 at 7:00 PM and 8:00 PM.

July 10, 2012 Invitation to the 1st Annual HMIP Summer Classic
HMIP is proud to announce the 1st Annual Outdoor Summer Classic Ball Hockey Tournament in the ‘’Bout de Souffle’’ format.
Summer will be coming to an end and we’re excited to announce the Kick-Off Tournament of the 2012 / 2013 season. This exciting event will be held at two (2) venues in Ile Perrot region. It will be held for the Pre-Novice & Novice / Atom and Peewee levels and IS NOT limited to winter hockey players. It will consist of a round robin format with a play down to a winning team per level. Please see the attached document. For more information or registration, contact your level coordinator.
It is with great pleasure that we share with you the return of our Vaudr’Île programs for the upcoming 2012-2013 season. As a result of our continued growth, we will be aligning a total of 11 Drakkar teams. Your organizing committee is in the process of finalizing the programs and is pleased to have the opportunity to offer new facets with the objective of improving the overall product.
In the coming weeks, we will advise you on logistical developments as well as the try-out schedule. For those who wish to apply for a head coaching position, assistant and or at the team manager level, we invite you to complete the coach’s application and submit same appropriately.

We remind you that the Jouer pour Jouer tickets have to be returned in the box at Cité des Jeunes on December 1st at the latest to the attention of Jeanie Harbour. Don't forget to write your team name. This is a fundraiser from Hockey Québec. Each team gets 100$ for their team budget. A $100 penalty will be charged to a team's AHMVD budget if tickets are not returned. Thanks to everyone who have already submitted their tickets!

Dear members,
It is with great pleasure and enthusiasm that we present you ‘Vaudr’Île’! Association de Hockey Mineur de Vaudreuil-Dorion and Hockey Mineur Île Perrot have joined forces, under the name ‘Vaudr’Île’, and are pleased to offer a double letter hockey program for the upcoming 2010-2011 season. We will offer ‘BB’ and ‘CC’ level hockey, throughout Atom to Midget. The teams will greet players from both associations, and will be named ‘Gladiateurs de Vaudr’Île’ at the ‘BB’ level, and ‘Riverains de Vaudr’Ile’ at the ‘CC’ level.
Training camps are open to players from both associations, and the schedule for the first week is now available. April 30, 2010 Invitation : Annual General Assembly
All AHMVD members are invited to the annual General Assembly to be held at the Centre Communautaire de Vaudreuil-Dorion situated at rue Louise-Josephte in Vaudreuil-Dorion on May 5th, 2010 at 7pm.
Administrators will present activity reports for the 2009-2010 season, elections will be held for positions on the 2010-2011 Board, and the evening will conclude with a question period.
The meeting will start with a short ceremony to thank the Midget players who are ending their minor hockey career this season.

March 25, 2010 The Pee-Wee A Titans are LHVS Champions !
The Titans won the Pee-Wee A 2010 Playoff final 4-3 in overtime against the HRS Hawks on Sunday March 21st, allowing only 3 goals in the playoffs, all in this last game. Earlier that day, they had won their first game in the Regionals 4-3 in a shootout against the Marquis de Pierrefonds. We can be proud of our kids for this wonderful season, winning 2 out of 3 tournaments. We thank our coaching team for their dedication, our players for their collective involvement, and the parents for their support through this fantastic season, full of memories.

March 11, 2010 Novice B Pirates continue their string of success in 2010 !
After wining the NAP Tournament in Soulanges, the Pirates were finalists of the Tournoi Provincial de Gatineau on March 7th. They also won the Most Disciplined Team award. The team also finished first in the league, with only 2 losses during the regular season. They will represent the Trois-Lacs region at the Lac St-Louis Regional championships. Congratulations and good luck to the Pirates !!

February 10, 2010 A second banner for the Pee-Wee A Titans !
After winning the championship of the Montréal Centre-Sud tournament last November, the Pee-Wee A Titans repeated the feat on February 7th at the NAP Provincial Tournament in Soulanges. In the Final game, the Titans won against the Lakeshore Jaguars, the team that had beaten them 3-1 in their first game. The Titans never gave up and decided to play as a team to reach the Final. To every fan's surprise, family and friends, the Titans beat the Jaguars 5 to 3. Notice the smiles, the joy and the pride on all the players' faces. Priceless. Don't give up Titans, the season is not over.

We have received complaints in the past weeks regarding some fans cheering for their team using a compressed air horn during LHVS games. We would like to remind you that the use of these horns is forbidden by a Hockey Québec rule detailed below. Your team could be given a penalty and you could even be expelled from the arena. Please act accordingly for everyone's enjoyment.
7.7.7 Use of Horn is forbidden: The use of horns driven by compressed air or batteries is forbidden during games under the jurisdiction of Hockey Quebec.

December 31, 2009 An invitation from the Mustangs !
The Mustangs are inviting 12 lucky goaltenders to participate in a Goalie clinic with its two goalies, and Mr. Benoit Pépin, Mustang's goalie coaches. There will be a draw to select the 12 goalies. Winners will be contacted by phone.
The Mustangs are also inviting one team from AHMVD to take part in a practice with its players.
To participate to either the clinic or the practice with the Mustang's players, you need to register by email at amusementaml@videotron.ca by leaving your team's name, its category and the coordinates of a contact person (phone and/or email).
The goalie clinic will be held on January 10th between 3pm and 4pm at the Vaudreuil arena. The team practice will also be held on January 10th, between 4pm and 5pm at the Vaudreuil arena.

AHMVD is pleased to invite you to a free family skating session. This event will be held on December 26th, at the Cité des Jeunes arena between 5pm and 6:30pm. Dads, Moms, sisters and brothers and welcome, and it's free!
The only conditions: an adult needs to be present on the ice at all times, and helmets are mandatory for everyone!
Also, for all interested volunteers, we have reserved the rink at Cité des Jeunes on December 26th between 6:30pm and 8pm for a friendly hockey game for coaches, assistant coaches, managers and assistant managers. You are invited to a special evening organized in your honour by the AHMVD Hockey Committee.
The evening will be held on Thursday October 22nd, at the Opti-Centre St-Jean-Baptiste located at 145 Harwood Blvd in Vaudreuil-Dorion (besides Domon) at 7:00pm.

October 3, 2009 Preventative measures against the A(H1N1) virus
Hockey Québec has announced new measures related to the handshake rule following games.
The rule says: "Immediately after the game, after having received the signal from the official, the two teams will shake hands"
From now on and until further notice, the rule is changed for : "Immediately after the game, after having received the signal from the official, the two teams will shake hands but keeping their gloves on."
We ask that our coaches comply with this new measure. Thank you !
October 3, 2009 Reminder - Mouth Guard
We would like to remind you that mouth guards are mandatory for all players Novice to Midget, for games and practices. Players that are not complying may end up with a 2 minute penalty during a game if the mouth guard is not worn correctly, and even a game misconduct if a player is not wearing one. We are counting on our coaches to ensure it is worn during practices. This is for our kids' safety.
Also, Hockey Québec has modified the rule for goalies. Starting with the 2008-2009 season, goalies don't have to wear a mouth guard.

Nous aurons l’honneur d’avoir la présence de M. Gaston Therrien, analyste à l’émission Sports 30 et analyste au réseau RIS. M. Therrien a aussi après sa carrière de hockey, passé du temps en Europe comme joueur entraîneur et comme Directeur gérant.
M.Therrien vous entretiendra sur ses expériences en gestion générale d’équipe, la préparation de parties et pratiques et la communication avec le personnel et joueurs.
